There has been a tearoom at Bellingham Station Yeard, outside the Heritage Centre, for 12 years (since 2012). The carriage belong to the Heritage Centre who took over the running of the tearoom in March 2022. Thus Tea on the Train was born. All profits from Tea on the Train are gifted to the Heritage Centre for re-investment.
Tea on the Train specialises in home baking and light refreshments and of course, it is all served up in a first class 125 HST train carriage, providing visitors with a different environment in which to enjoy their time.
In September 2023 our original Mk 1 Railway Carriages were replaced by a single (for now) first class HST 125 Railway Carriage which improved leg and table space as well as introducing a new level of comfort with larger comfortable seats and air conditioning.
